Medford’s Hammericksen, 14, in televised Drive, Chip and Putt finals Sunday

By Tim Trower Mail Tribune Baylee Hammericksen is becoming a regular at Augusta National Golf Club. The Medford teenager is making her second trip in a year to the hallowed grounds. This time, however, the 14-year-old St. Mary’s eighth-grader is there to compete. Hammericksen qualified last September for the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals.

Staesha Flock shoots 1 over par (73) at 1st tournament of the season in Bandon

The St. Mary’s girls golf team started off the season at its first tournament of the year at Bandon Crossings. This was a non counting tournament, but it is also the site of this years 2 day district tournament. Senior Staesha Flock shot a 1 over par 73 to lead the way for the girls team.
