In the second match of the morning, the Crusaders jumped to an early lead, 5-1, behind sophomore Kaitlyn Hansen’s serving. Hansen went 20 for 21 behind the serve line with 2 aces. She also handed out 22 assists. In set 2, the Trojan’s jumped to a large lead, 10-0, before the Crusaders could make adjustments to the server. The lead was too much to overcome. In sets 3 and 4, the Crusaders were led by tough serving from freshman Emma Johnston who went 13 for 15 with 4 aces. Sophomore Kelsey Dunn led with 4 blocks and 7 kills. Senior Abbie Christman also contributed 7 kills and 2 blocks. Freshman Noelle Thickett added 4 kills to the count. Johnston and sophomore Albie Borovansky led the defense with 13 and 12 digs each.
