St. Mary’s Boys Golf team caps off a successful season qualifying to participate in the OSAA State Golf Championships at Emerald valley Golf Club in Creswell. St. Mary’s finished the season as the 11th place team in the state. The two day tournament on a very challenging course proved to be a challenge for our young team. Senior Calix Kim led the way for the Crusaders with another tournament of consistent scoring in his final high school tournament.
Sophomore Bryce Stiemert had to withdraw from the tournament on day 1 with a wrist injury. Freshmen Seth Baker and Jude Torres and sophomore Isaac Chesnut gained valuable experience for their golf futures playing in this challenging tournament.
The future looks bright for the boys team for future years as the team only loses senior Calix Kim for next year’s team. Great Season Crusaders!
