St. Mary's School vs South Medford High School
4 4

The match between St. Mary’s and South Medford was as close as it could be, with each team winning two singles and two doubles matches, and one of the doubles matches being decided in South Medford’s favor after a 10-7 tie-breaker. On the singles side, Alicia Lu and Eve Von Strahl won their matches, while the doubles teams of Leah Sternenberg/Samantha Miller and Jenny Nguyen/Anais Fang notched wins. Taylor Rose Tavares and Meg Wright took their match into a tie-breaker. Number one doubles team, Susanna Schatz and Zoe Alftine took almost every point to deuce but their opponents played almost error free tennis to earn the victory. In number one singles, freshmen Finley Cox was impressive with her strong ground game, but it was not enough to crack the consistent play of her more experienced opponent. Addie Hopkins, who has been recovering from a wrist injury, played a solid match in the last singles contest. The Crusaders have one more match against 6A Grants Pass before beginning league play after Spring Break.
