In a nail biter of a fifth set, the Crusader came out on top against the visiting Bruins. The Crusaders played hesitant in the fifth set, getting behind early 2-8. Senior Grace Johnson led the comeback from behind the serve line, pushing the Crusaders to 10-8. Sophomore Jessi Traynor served the team to 13, where the Bruins made their own comeback to tie the game at 13-13. Senior Natalie Thickett served point 17 to win the match for the team.
As a team, the Crusaders served 106 for 110 with 17 aces. Junior Abbie Christman served 20 fro 21 with 4 aces while Traynor served 19 for 19 with 4 aces. Thickett led the team in offense with 15 kills while Christman added 9 and junior Ainsley Dunn 6. Senior Ashley Gurr posted 33 assists for the match and 3 aces. As a team, the Crusaders collected 111 digs, led by Grace Johnson at 23, followed closely by Maddie Mills and Thickett with 22. Senior Payal Mistry defense was 100%, going 4 for 4 on digs.
