Mackenzie Walker Breaks School Record

WALKER SETS RECORD: St. Mary’s junior Mackenzie Walker set a state-leading mark at the Class 3A level as well as a school record with her pole vault of 11 feet, six inches in a dual meet split between St. Mary’s and Phoenix high schools. Walker’s effort is also tied for the second best in the state

3A/2A/1A Spring XC Culminating Week Championship

Congrats to Addie Jensen (31st) on her PR in her first state meet appearance at the 3A/2A/1A Spring XC Culminating Week Championship meet at Lake Cheadle in Lebanon. Congratulations also to the Crusader boys on their 8th place finish in the boys 3A championship race. Their 8th place is the best placement of any boys

Girls Soccer Move on to the Finals

ST. MARY’S 5, SUTHERLIN 1: At Grants Pass, St. Mary’s avenged a loss of a week earlier, taking a 4-0 halftime lead and getting a hat trick from freshman Elise Fernandes in the Class 3A culminating week playoffs at the Josephine County Fairgrounds. Sutherlin (9-2) had recently handed a depleted St. Mary’s team a 4-2 loss.

Junior Addie Jensen led the girls squad with her 8th place finish earning second-team all-district honors with her 8th place finish. By finishing
