After a tightly contested first half that found the Crusaders leading 17-14, the undefeated St. Mary’s team put together a near perfect third period, outscoring Ashland 24-0. St. Mary’s improved their record to 8-0 with a final score of 56-15. Noah Gunn led all scorers with 16 points, including two from behind the three point arch, and Junior Sleezer added 15 with one three pointer. Manny Crumb, Beau Aldrich, Brooks Bramscher, Ben Reynolds, Travis Johnson, Eli Haynes and Tom Eaton added point for the Crusaders who will try to complete an undefeated season with a home game on Wednesday.

The Crusaders won the 3rd place game against league opponent Rogue River.
St. Mary’s was led in scoring by Jakab Bowling 17 pts, 6 rebounds and Gabe Mayer 12 pts.
Tre Foster had 7 pts, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Mike Miles had 6 rebounds.
Congratulations to Jakab Bowling who was selected to the all tournament team.

Game Recap

Manny Crump and Junior Sleezer passed up on many scoring oppurtunities dish out assist after assist to their teamates, and Brooks Bramscher controlled both the defensive and offensive boards, to lead the Crusaders to their seventh straight victory of the season with a 54-26 win against Talent. Eli Haynes, the teams leading scorer, once again led with 13 points, but nine different Crusaders added to the total. Ben Reynolds, John Healy, Beau Aldrich and Noah Gunn all added points and Peter Martin hit a three pointer after a beautiful pass from Sleezer. All fourteen players for St. Mary’s have now scored during the season, which continues next Monday against Ashland. St. Mary’s is now 7-0 for the year.
