1. What sports did you play at St. Mary’s?
In middle school, I played volleyball for St. Mary’s. In high school, I participated in rowing for all four years through Rogue Rowing.
2. What lessons did you learn through your experience in athletics, that you will take with you after graduation?
There are many lessons that I have learned from my participation in athletics. The biggest one would have to be persistence. I know in the future I will face all sorts of challenges, but being a student-athlete has thought me how to persevere, even when things get difficult.
3. What are your plans for next year? College?
I have been fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to continue my athletic pursuits in college. Next year I will be rowing at the University of Wisconsin.
4. Anyone you would like to thank?
I would like to thank my parents for always being my biggest support system with anything and everything I do, as well as my brother Jack for being my biggest cheerleader. I would like to thank all of my coaches for helping me turn my dreams into realities. Thank you to all of my teammates who were able to make even the most miserable practices fun. And finally my teachers for being so understanding when I had to miss class, as well being super supportive of my successes in the classroom and on the water.
