Crusaders News · St. Mary’s School Welcomes New Varsity Girls Tennis Coach


St. Mary’s School is happy to announce the addition of Coach Gabriela Sullins to our Varsity Girls Tennis team. Coach Sullins, currently pursuing her public accounting license at Southern Oregon University, is an accomplished tennis player at a 4.5 level and was consecutively ranked in the USTA as #1 at 4.0 for two years and 4.5 for two years with multiple player of the year awards. Gabriela is the former 2-time 4.0 Grand Slam Champion and 4.5 Grand Slam Champion in both singles and doubles of women’s tennis in the USTA of Northern California. She also competed at USTA Nationals in women’s singles and doubles in Phoenix, Arizona in 2018. 

“We are so happy to have Gabbi join the Crusader family,” St. Mary’s Athletic Director Jamie Young shares, “she brings a wealth of tennis experience to our Girls program, and her enthusiasm for teaching the game is a huge asset.” 

Coach Sullins has also participated in singles and league tennis tournaments in the Rogue Valley through various tennis clubs and has played in Sectionals and USTA sanctioned tournaments. She has previously taught tennis class to children under 10, teens 13-15, and high school students 16-18. Coach Sullins enjoys teaching and interacting with all levels of players and has a competitive approach balanced with the desire to have fun. 

St. Mary’s is thrilled to welcome Coach Sullins to her new role.
