Game Recap

The Crusaders played an aggressive game against the Phoenix Pirates tonight in a non-league matchup. The team was led by a trio of seniors on the court. Madi Christensen led the team in both serving and hitting. She went 17 for 19 at the serve line with 8 aces. In the front row, Christensen earned 9 kills and 3 blocks. Aessa Catt also contributed to a tough offense with 8 kills and 2 aces. Running the offense on the court tonight was setter Ashley Rietmann who earned 23 assists. She also contributed 4 aces of her own while serving 15 for 15. In total, the Crusaders ended the night with a team high of 18 aces. Sophomore Katie Rietmann also had a strong showing with 6 kills and 3 blocks. On the defensive front, sophomore Lauren Russo led the team in digs.
