St. Mary’s Boy’s Tennis had a successful District meet.  They will be sending three player’s onto State May 19th and 20th, in Corvallis on OSU’s campus.

Our number one singles and number one doubles were seeded top of districts.   In the end singles player Pratheev Weerakoon and Doubles partners, Quinn Randall and Ian Newton both came away with 2nd place finishes.  They played a great tournament and made it to the finals of Special District 3.  Pratheev lost in a 3 set ground stroke marathon match against North Bend’s Jacob Gauge.  Ian and Quinn met the Nicolaus twins from Marshfield in the finals.  They lost in a close 3 set match that was filled with colorful display of volleys, as well as great team work.

The St. Mary’s team was barely edged out by North Bend for the team title, bringing home a 2nd place finish as well.

Good Luck at State boys!
